Tim Tebow and Tom Brady draw NFL's highest rating

CBS' New England-Denver game late Sunday afternoon drew a 19.5 overnight rating -- the NFL's highest-rated game broadcast this season.

That 19.5 rating, translating to 19.5% of households in the 56 urban markets measured for overnights, came for regionalized coverage that also included Jets-Eagles and Browns-Cardinals -- and was up 16% from comparable coverage last year led by a Jets-Steelers game.

But not all NFL ratings were up. NBC's primetime Baltimore-San Diego game drew a 11.3 overnight, down 26% from coverage of a Green Bay-New England game last year. And CBS' early-afternoon regionalized coverage, led by a less-than-lustrous Cincinnati-St. Louis game, drew a 7.2 overnight -- down 33% from comparable regionalized coverage last year.

In college sports, ESPN's Connecticut-Baylor game Sunday night -- which pitted the two top-ranked teams in women's college basketball -- drew a 0.8 overnight. By comparison, ESPN2's Notre Dame-Indiana and Syracuse-North Carolina St. men's basketball games Saturday also each drew 0.8 overnight ratings.
